We'll be traveling down to Boca to hold a workshop with Josh Drachman sensei of Aikido of Palm Beach County.

The main focus of the workshop will be to share our training methods having to do with the ukemi of Frank Ostoff sensei, who we've hosted in Orlando the past two years. The workshop will focus on:

  1. Rolling vs. jumping when taking ukemi
  2. The responsibilty of uke and how to give constant energy to nage
  3. Focusing on the point of contact as uke
  4. Connecting to each other in order to create a positive, non-competitive interaction
  5. The concept of uke being the "creator" of the technique
  6. Having fun with Aikido!

Everyone is invited and the event will be informal and educational in nature. Please contact Josh Drachman for more information, directions, etc.

Hope to see you there!

Just a quick thanks to Josh

Just a quick thanks to Josh sensei and his students for showing up and displaying a tremendous effort to learn our ukemi. I hope you all had as good a time as we did sharing it with you. I look forward to future events, both down in Palm Beach and up here in Orlando!

Here are some pictures of Josh's beautiful dojo!
